Explore the New Ocean Frontier and All It Touches...Discovering What's NeXt...

FOUNDER RUSS CAMERON.png

I've been blessed to live a life filled with experiences many people only dream about.

I've helped save whales.

I've swum with a pod of hundreds of wild dolphins in a lagoon.

I've explored incredible places.

I've produced television shows seen across the country.

Most importantly, I've had the privilege of raising a beautiful daughter and sharing life's journey with remarkable people.

But life doesn't always follow the path we expect.

Like many people, I experienced adversity that forced me into survival mode. For years, my focus was simply on getting through the next challenge, then the next one after that.

There's nothing wrong with survival when it's necessary.

But eventually I realized something important:

Life is meant to be lived, not merely survived.

That realization is one of the reasons Deep Venture Pulse exists.

Deep Venture Pulse isn't just about exploring the Ocean Frontier.

It's about encouraging all of us to become explorers again.

To stay curious.

To keep learning.

To seek new experiences.

To meet new people.

To ask new questions.

To discover what's possible.

And to remember that there is still adventure ahead.

Bill and I, along with the Deep Venture Pulse team, will do our best to lead by example as we explore the people, places, discoveries, technologies, and stories shaping the Ocean Frontier and all that touches it.

But this journey isn't just ours.

It's yours too.

Whether your next adventure is across the ocean or across town, the important thing is to take that first step.

To get out there.

To be curious.

To keep learning.

To start living again.

Because no matter where you've been or what you've been through, there is always something NeXt waiting to be discovered.

How about we figure it out together and get to it?

Together, We've Got NeXt.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of working on major motion pictures, national television productions, documentaries, and projects for federal agencies across the United States. I've interviewed remarkable people, documented important moments in history, and helped tell stories that might otherwise have been forgotten.

Yet, one experience changed me more than any other.

Early in my career, I was honored to be selected by Steven Spielberg and his Shoah Foundation in the international effort to video record the personal testimonies of Holocaust survivors. Sitting across from individuals who had witnessed history firsthand taught me something I'll never forget:

Every story has value.
Every life leaves a legacy.

So, if those stories aren't preserved, they can be lost forever.

This lesson has stayed with me throughout my career.

When Russ first shared his vision for Deep Venture Pulse, I immediately recognized that this wasn't just another television series. It was an opportunity to create something lasting—a living record of the explorers, scientists, engineers, historians, and innovators who are expanding our understanding of the Ocean Frontier.

Its past, present, and future.

Many of the people we meet have spent decades building knowledge that exists nowhere else. They have explored places few of us will ever see, solved problems few of us will ever encounter, and dedicated their lives to advancing discovery. Their stories deserve to be preserved, not just for today, but for future generations.

That's why Deep Venture Pulse is important to me.

Yes, we'll explore remarkable places. We'll discover fascinating technologies. We'll meet extraordinary people. However, beneath every expedition is a greater purpose: preserving knowledge, inspiring curiosity, and encouraging others to become explorers and innovators in their own lives.

Exploration, I believe, is about far more than geography. It's about asking questions, remaining curious, embracing new ideas, and never losing the desire to discover what's around the next corner.

If Deep Venture Pulse inspires even one young person to pursue science, engineering, conservation, history, or exploration - or if we preserve one important story that might otherwise have been lost - then every mile traveled and every hour spent behind the camera will have been worthwhile.

Thank you for joining us on this journey.

It's my hope that you'll join us as we continue to discover what's NeXt.
